  • Optimal safe Bitumen availability in Continental Europe for all European Shell OUs, the production of premium bitumen products at a growing network of blending plants across Germany, France, and the Netherlands and efficient resupply and blending of bitumen across a network of 4 coastal depots in France and the Netherlands.
  • The role involved significant liaison amongst different groups (Supply, Customer Operations, Freight forwarders, contract processors, Sales, Technology, and other partners). Therefore, an effective communication with various stakeholders to understand the drivers of the business and act in the best interest of the Enterprise was crucial. Periods of intense activity (month, quarter, and year-end) which are tightly time bound and critical to business operations.
  • The product scheduler is responsible to developing, analysing, optimizing and executing an evolving and robust Bitumen schedule with input from Bitumen Supply (Shell UK), Manufacturing and other Shell OUs (CH;CZ,DK and FR). This includes the responsibility to coordinate and influence the Bitumen production in the different refineries to optimize the product blending and to achieve product commitments as well as stock targets and meeting customers demand in volumes and grades. Responsible to plan resupply of Bitumen to the coastal depots. Especially in case of shortages for several reasons (off spec; high demand, etc.) Ensures that the correct Bitumen Blends are available in the right volumes at the right time for massive means (jetties and railcars), without compromising the volumes for the customers who are picking up Bitumen by trucks.
