I am an ethical, hard-working, tenacious, results and customer-driven professional with great communication skills, fluent in 3 languages, passionate about healthcare sales development & marketing, very used to being resilient to the dynamic macroeconomic changes, adaptable and capable of managing and coordinating internal and external clients to achieve expected sales targets, through an analytical and soft-skills approach. I have worked since I was 15 and for the last years for the medical device industry, most of which for two American companies, reporting and working closely with Spain. I have been a surgical devices business development specialist, but I have also received specialized training, and done marketing and sales in urology, gynaecology, biopsy, cardiovascular, nephrology, electrophysiology, oncology, paediatrics, anaesthesiology, ultrasound, wound care, sutures, CUSA, energy, patient safety, orthopaedics, among others. In the last few years, I have worked in all hospitals of the Portuguese Health System, negotiating tenders as well as special agreements with administrations, and providing sales and marketing support for surgical devices, as well as representing my companies in industry events. As a sales director, while managing a multidisciplinary team, I have also dedicated myself to organizing marketing events and training specialists, namely on national congresses, symposia, KOL contracts and training center contracts in Portugal. I have a PhD in Organizational and Economic Sociology, a Master's in Human Resource Management and a degree in Marketing Management. Although they may seem different, they all have to do with Organizations and People, which are my passion. I also teach and coordinate a postgraduate course in Health Management at IDEFE Executives Program at the University of Lisbon, on a part-time basis.
