Jessica Gawlikowski

I am a hardworking and motivated student seeking opportunities to gain practical experience where I will be able to enhance and perfect my skills. I am a quick learner and enthusiastic about helping others. I offer strong communication skills to connect with people from range of backgrounds as well as being a team player seeking to develop problem-solving and logical thinking mindset to work collaboratively with the team and resolve challenges that I will be faced with in the future. I am willing to take on challenging work and I am willing to learn new skills that will benefit me later on in life. I have experience in volunteer supervision and group activities where I am an open team player who is friendly and approachable. I am able to adapt easily to a challenging environment and overcome difficult situations if I am presented with one.

• I am an active member of Stealth Black Belt Academy where I have trained for over 3 years which has taught me the basic and advanced mechanics of kickboxing. I regularly go there 5 times a week as it is really beneficial for my fitness and overall mental health due to the mental and physical challenges of the sport, cultivating resilience and determination. During those training sessions I can push myself, my colleagues and have fun. I am currently at purple belt on my journey to becoming a black belt which has given me the perseverance and adept discipline I need.
• I have always been interested and enjoyed experimenting with science projects in my free time, fostering a deeper understanding of scientific principles. Whenever I can, I try to participate in science projects which has led me to becoming a participant in the Athena STEM summer camp in 2022 where I have been involved in a project to create and present a sustainable island community.
• I am a strong believer of spending quality time with friends and building strong, meaningful relationships. I have always enjoyed exploring different foods and cultures within my community, so where possible I organize and participate in social gatherings where I indulge in trying new foods and exploring different restaurants with friends, fostering a sense of shared experiences. I recognize the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and prioritize moments of joy with friends.
