Hi, I'm Kim, game designer and game developer that worked on some popular titles like UFL, Prime World, World of Tanks Blitz. With me you get a person who can solve problems and create great games.

Game Designer

Strikerz Inc.
11.2021 - Current

UFL is a brand-new IP in football simulation games with unique features and next-gen graphics. Platforms - PS/XBOX/Steam.


As a game designer I'm leading design and development of a few key systems, including progression, skins (power-ups and key monetization driver), players' stats and ratings and more.


Key achievements:

  • developed a framework to calculate and balance stats and ratings across 5000+ football players presented in UFL based on real world data
  • designed player progression system including leveling-up mechanics, progression curves, skills
  • designed skins system (UFL version of power-ups), including personal and set skins
  • designed and developed cutscene & replay system

Game Designer

Team Serpico
03.2020 - 11.2021

Game designer of Offside Legends - arcade-style football game. Platforms - PC/Switch.


Key Achievements :

  • i've built a core community around Offside Legends in Discord. Starting from 10 people we got to nearly 300 active members in about 3 months. Without publisher/marketing support and the game still being in early stages of development
  • created fully-detailed roadmap (1.5 years of original game development + DLCs). Both for the team and publisher pitch
  • designed a concept of meta gameplay, including custom game modes, social features and more

Project Manager

Wargaming
11.2018 - 08.2019

Transferred with the same core team from Glu Mobile to Wargaming in the role of Project manager. The team started developing an unannounced game using Unreal Engine 4.


Key Achievements:

  • rapid, but smooth process transformation to genuine Scrum (as a process standard in the department we joined)
  • releasing first technical demo, using UE4. Demo got positive reviews from the management board, including CEO
  • powering up the team with new hires

Project Manager/Game Designer

Glu Mobile

Joined a few weeks after the start of Titan World project as a part of Glu Mobile company, I took lead over the team of developers, artists, QA and DevOps.


Key Achievements:

  • built a self-managing team with experienced leaders
  • created detailed roadmap for production, soft launch and post-release
  • designed and implemented missions & player achievements system. It boosted d1 retention by 30% and d7 by almost 300%. Other features, like FTO and conditional offers, boosted revenue correspondingly
  • organized and carried out local F&F (friends and family) testing, that gave us invaluable insight on the difficulties people face in our game. This data helped us to rework in-game tutorial and other parts before soft-launch

As a part of a team developing a distribution platform called ActivePlatform (the same as the company itself) I've successfully conducted negotiations with big telecom clients from Turkey and Germany that resulted in a long-term deal.

I was in charge of the team of around 25 people responsible for LiveOps of the existing and upcoming mobile titles.


Key Achievements:

  • In a short time assembled a new team
  • successfully released Etherlords. The game got in top-50 worldwide on iOS.

Assistant Producer

After local success of Prime World in CIS region, management board decided to expand game geography towards the west markets. I took the role of Assistant Producer (NA region) to ensure seamless environment setup and further live operation.


Key Achievements:

  • successfully launched Prime World in the NA region
  • Introduced a new environment for players, where they can review & issue feedback about upcoming updates (test server). Also organized a series of in-game tournaments on this platform.

Senior QA Engineer

Nearly after graduating from high school I got my first job in gamedev as a QA engineer, working on a brand-new company title - Prime World.


Key Achievements:

  • introduced automated testing during the acceptance phase in QA department. Mainly focused on meta gameplay (economy, basic building operations etc.) on the long run it allowed the team to switch focus to other crucial parts, like session gameplay and billing. As a result it helped to constantly improve game quality for our players and increase key metrics such as retention, revenue and else
  • made a custom script for the community support team to help them track problems with live servers
  • introduced server-side config testing and event management approach. Alongside with process improvements from the IT department it helped to significantly decrease overall downtime during planned updates
