Work History

Engineering Intern

Pillar Engineering Application Team
Warsaw
07.2024 - 10.2024

Department: GE Vernova Gas Power Department

Duration: 2 months

NX custom applications development

  • As a part of an international team, I developed custom applications for NX using C#.
  • Those applications were increasing the efficiency of approximately 200 GE Vernova design engineers around the globe.

NX custom applications maintenance

  • I debugged many applications
  • I created unit tests for applications' functionality checks after updates and debugs
  • I tested new NX out-of-box applications to see if they meet the requirements of GE Vernova engineers. Some of the custom applications became redundant, and I removed them
  • As a result, these steps helped to save time for both engineers, who now do not have to double-check the results of launching applications, and my team, as IT maintenance now requires less time.

NX User Interface development

  • I collected feedback from the engineers and modified the user interface in order to make it more user-friendly, so new employees could intuitively learn how to use them.

Log usage of custom applications to the Database

  • As the main mission of the team is to increase the efficiency of engineers, I logged the usage of our custom applications to determine the most useful tools, so the team and I could invest more resources in the development of those apps.
